Dating back to 1709, Château Filhot is now owned and managed by one of the owners' descendants, Count Gabriel de Vaucelles. The estate's 62 hectares of vines are planted with 60% Sémillon, 36% Sauvignon, and 4% Muscadelle. The vineyards sit in an ideal microclimate for the development of botrytis cinerea, and harvest is made with successive selections according to the state of maturation and the evolution of the noble rot. This results in a high-quality, low-yield harvest of about 10 to 20 hl/ha. The wine is a 75cl half bottle of white wine.
