This Allendorf 2023 Winkler Riesling dry is a wine sourced from the esteemed VDP.Ortswein-classified Winkler vineyards of Hasensprung and Gutenberg. The vines, aged between 25 to 40 years, are deeply rooted in rich loam and loess soils that impart structure and depth. A bold, expressive Riesling with a firm grip and a fine, yeasty backbone, it has a creamy texture beautifully balanced by a lively, harmonious acidity, leading into a long, elegant finish. The wine bursts with intense aromas and complexity, showing great ageing potential. Crafted from grapes grown exclusively in a single vineyard area, it captures the essence of the Winkeler terroir. Fermented spontaneously and matured for eleven months in traditional 2,400L 'Doppelstück' wooden barrels on the full lees, it's a wine of impressive depth and authenticity.
