This Riesling Grand Cru has great opulence, length and clear expression. It has intense fruit flavours and very complex aromas - with hints of peach, melon and figs. An excellent dry white wine from a fantastic location in the glacial valley of the Rhine, where the sloping Aulerde vineyard is sheltered by the eastern and southern slopes of the Kirchspiel. The grapes come from 50 year old Riesling vines grown in a vineyard with VDP. Grosse Lage (Grand Cru) classification. After gentle crushing and pressing, fermentation and maturation took place in traditional oak casks. A perfect choice for any occasion.
