McHenry Hohnen Hazel's Vineyard Reserve BDX 2016 is a seductive red wine with aromas of red cherry, cocoa beans and freshly picked blueberries. The palate is powerful with silky tannins, featuring ripe boysenberry and blackcurrant. A blend of Malbec (49%), Cabernet Sauvignon (36%) and Petit Verdot (15%), sourced from Hazels Vineyard, where the fruit is grown biodynamically. This wine has a beautiful balance of power, texture and acidity, with a dark, chewy fruit character and subtle oak and floral notes.
