This Bischel 2022 Estate Spätburgunder QbA dry is a 75cl wine from Winebuyers. The grapes come from 40-year-old Pinot Noir vineyards in the Appenheimer Eselspfad site, which is characterised by limestone and sandy loam. The medium to steep slope has a southern exposure. The wine is made using selective harvesting of the grapes by hand. After de-stemming, the grapes ferment with wild yeasts in open vats. The crushing of the must is done exclusively by hand. After fermentation, the wine matures for 12 months in large oak barrels and bottled unfiltered. This elegant classic Pinot Noir has fine aromas of red fruits and a hint of vanilla. It is long on the palate with a fresh fruit of red cherries and elegant, rather delicate tannins. It has an alcohol content of 13.0% vol. and a residual sugar of 1.5 g/l. The acidity is 4.9 g/l. It is a unisex wine, suitable for both men and women.
