This Spätburgunder Premier Cru has fine notes of blackcurrant and cherry, as well as sweet spices. The full-bodied wine is well-concentrated with a juicy freshness. Grown in the classified VDP.ERSTE LAGE (Premier Cru) Johannisburg vineyard, this wine is a result of careful hand selection and fermentation on skins with wild yeast. It matured in oak barrels for 18 months, with 30% new oak, before being bottled without filtration. A 13.0% vol. wine with a low residual sugar content of 0.1 g/l and a crisp acidity of 6.1 g/l, making it suitable for both men and women.
