Bercher's velvety ruby red Limburg Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) has aromas of sour and sweet cherries, as well as hints of dark chocolate, bitter orange, and figs. This Premier Cru has a finely balanced tannin structure on the palate with a mineralic, juicy length on the finish. The grapes for this Spätburgunder were hand picked and gently pressed. Mash fermentation took place for 18 days, followed by 24 months maturation in barriques (oak barrels). It's a perfect companion to rabbit roulade with prunes and rosemary jus or rack of lamb with a tapenade crust. Enjoy it at a temperature of 14-17°C.
