The Bassermann-Jordan 2022 Pechstein Riesling Grand Cru dry is a wine from the Forst region, known for its superb vineyards. The Pechstein vineyard is a southeast-facing slope with a unique soil structure, characterized by black basalt stones. This volcanic material influences the vines, bringing powerful minerality to the wines. The grapes were harvested and pressed separately, then fermented in wooden containers with the grape's own yeast. The wine was separated from the coarse yeast and left to mature on the fine yeast until bottling in July, without filtration. The Pechstein shows a complex nose with notes of exotic fruit, such as pineapple, grapefruit, lime zest, and bergamot, paired with flint and smoke. On the palate, it is salty and delectable. This wine is suitable for both men and women.
This product would be a great fit for wine enthusiasts who prefer elegant, complex, and slightly sweet yet dry dry white wine.
