This 11 year old whisky is a rare beast from the Adnams stable. With its wheat dominant mash bill (60% Wheat, 35% Barley, 5% Oats) and aged for 11 years in 1st fill American Oak barrels, it demonstrates remarkable complexity and harmony - a whisky to be sipped and savoured. Nose: Coconut, Caramel, Roasted Notes, Tobacco, Charred Wood, Bonfire, Burnt CoffeePalate: Espresso, Caramel, Biscuit, Spice, Chocolate, SpicyFinish: Caramel, Honey, Liquorice, Allspice, Creamy Perfect serve: Add a splash of chilled spring water according to taste. On the nose youll find coconut and caramel, alongside roasted notes like bonfire-charred wood, tobacco and burnt coffee - as if the water was a little too hot for your brew. On tasting, there is chocolate, espresso and spice, balanced by flavours of biscuit and caramelised toffee, which fills the palate with a creamy texture that carries on through to the finish. The caramel and honeyed notes linger, along with notes of liquorice and allspice.
