This Wirsching 2022 Iphöfer Kronsberg Silvaner Alte Reben / Old Vines Premier Cru dry is a lasting Silvaner with powerful extract, its aroma is multi-layered. It has flavours of wild herbs, subtle fruity notes of pear and apple together. Its enormous density and length give this wine a complex structure. The Iphöfer Kronsberg is one of the top Franconian vineyards, south-facing. A wine that has its own forcefield, its own electric current. Fragmented flavours vibrating at the speed of light, spinning into a blur of a whole. It’s a refreshing blend of pomelo and citron, green apple and mizuna and shiso. It’s shiveringly fresh and has a lot of minty bite, like a cup of fresh peppermint tea followed by fresh-leaf-sorbet. The wine is a shock of cold green carrying a core of tomorrow’s honey and gold.
