Wire Works First Release is the inaugural release from White Peak Distillery, in Derby. This whisky was mashed, fermented, distilled and matured on their Wire Works site and is made from peated and unpeated malt, matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and STR casks. A slow 4 day fermentation and the use of fresh, live yeast from a local Derbyshire brewery create a unique spirit. ABV 50.3.. Batch 01/2022. Only 5016 bottles ever released.. White Peak, a Derbyshire distillery established in 2016 by Max and Claire Vaughan, crafts English whisky, rum, and gin. Situated at a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a former wire works near River Derwent: thus the Wire Works brand.
