Pale pink to almost white, blushed with deeper pink, the inside base has a yellow base. Tulip Hilde (Tulipa Cretica) is a rare beauty hailing from the Cretan mountains. This delicate-looking botanical tulip may look fragile, but it is extremely strong and will happily naturalise when left undisturbed. It needs a gritty, free-draining area. Up to three star-shaped flowers are held on the contrasting deep green to maroon stems. Perfect for the rockery front of the border or containers, where this delightful flower can be seen close up.
