He tours constantly in the UK and is popular at Ronnie Scott's. He has also worked with Tony Coe John Etheridge Mervyn Africa Dick Heckstall-Smith Mick Karn Roger Beaujolais Steve Lodder and the late Slim Gaillard. The album features his regular touring band plus a special guest singer and guitarist Richard Sinclair. Richard is one of the true talents of the English progressive/Canterbury music scene - founding member singer and bass player of Caravan and Hatfield and the North and collaborator with Robert Wyatt Hugh Hopper and Tony Coe. Another guest is writer Jonathan Coe (author of the acclaimed The Rotters Club) who contributes lyrics to two songs. Influenced by 1970's jazz flute cool jazz Brazilian songs English progressive rock and folk King Crimson (there is a version of 21st Century Schizoid Man) Eddie Harris Hubert Laws and a love of melody and lush atmospheres the album includes eight Travis originals and collaborations which feature his strong melodies a varied approach to writing imaginative arrangements and his remarkable flute playing.
