£149.40

This fabulous trio gives a wonderfully broad tour of styles and flavours from 3 different English Whisky distilleries based across the South West. 1 x Dartmoor Bordeaux Cask, 70cl Dartmoor Distillery Bordeaux Cask Matured Whisky is createdin their (unconventional) 1,400 litre Cognac still, with legendary master distiller Frank McHardy (ex Springbank, Bushmills) in charge. Notes of raspberry and blackcurrant over a core of malty vanilla and a whiff of white pepper. Develops into demerara sugar, cinnamon and toasted nuts. An accomplished whisky with plenty of complexity. 1 x Circumstance Single Grain Rye Whisky, 70cl Distilled from a combination of 51% malted rye / 49% malted barley and fermented on beer and mead yeasts (the team specialise in using non-traditional yeasts to find new flavours). Then the whisky spent more than three years resting in a mix of Bourbon, new European oak, and Oloroso sherry-conditioned casks. Only 473 bottles made! Green apples and honey, spiced sugar and that distinctive rye note come straight out of the glass. Vanilla and oak on the finish with just a lick of warming pepperiness. Lush. 1 x Pocketful of Stones Mezcal Cask Cornish Whisky, 70cl Take Hells Stone yummy Dulow blend whisky and age it for a further 12 months in a Mezcal barrel in the shadow of St Michaels Mount on the wild cornish coast. What do you get? A complex oaky whisky with a spicy mezcal aftertaste. With only 384 bottles made in this batch, this is a tasty but unique whisky that showcases what cask ageing in a more unusual barrel can achieve. Fun!
