As the world's leading producer of Petite Sirah, it was natural that the Bogle family should produce a reserve version of their signature grape variety, with fruit sourced exclusively from their prized Lake Winchester Vineyard in Clarksburg, which experiences a significant cooling effect from the nearby San Francisco Bay. The wine has a rich ruby colour, and generous black cherry jam and vanilla notes on the nose. The palate has excellent freshness and balance, and with exposure to air, gorgeous layers of plump cherry and slivered almond flavour emerge, with the velvety richness and structure of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
