1 x 75cl. The producer, Produttori del Barbaresco, is a leading light for quality wines in Barbaresco since its re-formation in 1958. Approximately half the production is generic Barbaresco, while good vintages result in all nine single vineyards producing a Riserva. The nine Riserva single vineyards offer a lesson in Barbaresco terroirs with its vastly varying aspects, altitudes, and soils – from fragrance and elegance, to fruitiness, earthiness, structure and power. The generic Barbaresco is sourced from various vineyards in the DOCG zone and vines growing in limestone and clay soil. Fermented in stainless steel with around 24 days on the skins, this wine is then aged for a minimum of two years in large oak casks. This wine is a great value for money, arguably the best in Langhe.
