Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Soloist cello strings are based on the popular Evah Pirazzi and Evah Pirazzi Gold cello strings but they are designed especially for solo players. The strings are made of the same materials a single hgh-tensile steel core for the A and D strings and a steel rope core for the G and C strings. The same windings are also used with the chrome steel winding for the A and D strings and tungsten for the G and C strings. Where the Evah Pirazzi Soloist strings differ however is in their diameter. The smaller diameter chosen for these strings provides a distinctive response and also allows for easier position shifts a valuable feature for solo repertoire.
