Both immediately appealing and extraordinarily complex, this offers up generous cherry, cranberry and walnut notes, evolving into suggestions of dried rose petals, aniseed, brown cardamom and leather. There's masses going on here. The palate is ripe and medium-bodied, with light tannins, lovely mid-palate texture and fresh acidity. This really is excellent, and also outstanding value for money.
