Nyetimber was established in 1988 by a couple, Stuart and Sandy Moss, who were inspired by the potential for producing sparkling wine in the cool climate of southern England. The winery is named after a farmstead that dates back to the 11th century, which is located near the vineyards. Nyetimber is known for producing some of the finest English sparkling wines, which are made using traditional Champagne methods. The winery has over 170 hectares of vineyards, which are planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes. The vineyards are situated on south-facing slopes, which allows the grapes to ripen fully in the cool English climate. Nyetimber has been instrumental in putting English sparkling wine on the map. The Tillington Single Vineyard is a limited edition wine made from a single vineyard site located on the south-facing slopes of the South Downs in West Sussex. This wine is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, produced using traditional methods. It is a 75cl bottle, suitable for both men and women.
