The FIRN GUIDE is a technical ice axe designed for challenging high mountain excursions and classic mountaineering. The slightly curved anodized aluminium shaft is particularly robust and light, featuring an ergonomic shape and a sanded surface. The bottom of the shaft has a grooved texture for extra grip. The sharp stainless steel blade allows for precise positioning, and its ergonomic head provides a comfortable hold when used as a support axe. The I-profile of the blade ensures great torsion resistance while keeping the weight low. The aggressive-shaped sharp pick offers plenty of power and makes it easier to cut steps or dig for a deadman anchor. The centre of the pick is perpendicular to the straight part of the shaft, allowing for a more effective strike.
