1 x 75cl. The producer, Montevertine, has a long history of growing traditional Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Colorino grapes. Their vineyards are planted at a density of 5000 vines per hectare in the newer plantings and 3200 vines per hectare in the older ones. The vines are trained using the Guyot system in the older vineyards and with spurred cordon in the new plantings. Since 2009, they have adopted organic management of the vineyards, using compost produced on the farm for fertilization and copper and powdered sulphur for defence. The result is a wine that fully reflects the identity of their land. Produced for the first time in 1977, Le Pergole Torte is a pure Sangiovese wine, made from a blend of approximately 90% Sangiovese, 5% Colorino, and 5% Canaiolo. It is a unisex wine, suitable for both men and women.
