The Meinl Byzance Dual 22 Crash-Ride Cymbal features two separate lathing sections that provide a light woody tone when played as a ride but opens up into an cutting trashy sound when played as a crash cymbal. The lathed surface combined with extensive hand hammering provides a dry woody sound with a short sustain. The raw unlathed bell produces a strong contained sound with a fast aggressive response. In addition to the distinctive appearance the Byzance Dual 22 cymbal offers a tone with wide dynamic capabilities allowing drummers to play expressively with strong results.
