The 1915J2-8 is a BL18120 18V Li-ion LXT 12.0Ah battery, designed for capacity and longer run time for cordless products. BL18120 is equipped with a larger button than standard batteries, green LED battery fuel level indicator, shock absorbing structure and is impact resistant. Multi-contact terminals reduce electrical resistance and increase connection stability, withstanding against vibration and ultimately to ensure a current supply to the tool. The Li-ion range can deliver up to 430% more working capacity during its lifetime, compared to Ni-Cad, and is 40% lighter than Ni-MH. The Li-ion battery has minimal depletion of power during use or in storage over its lifetime. BL18120 has a 70-minute charge time with DC18RF, 48 minutes with DC40RA equipped with ADP10 adapter and 120 minutes with DC18RC. BL18120 is recommended for use with Makita DLS211, DLS212, DUB363 and compatible with Makita DGA463, DGA464, DGA467, DGA468, DGA469, DGA504, DGA505, DGA506, DGA508, DGA511, DGA512, DGA513, DGA514, DGA517, DGA519, DGA520, DGA521, DGA700, DGA701, DGA900 and DGA901. All other machines are not recommended including Makita DSP600, DSP601, DSS611, DRC200, DRC300 or not compatible with G-Series range of tools. When the BL18120 is used with outdoor power tools that are marked to be waterproof, the BL18120 is IPX4M rated and can be exposed and operated in the rain.
