As you progress through the story of the three films, you get access to over 50 characters including your favourites Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca and the droids. Each character has a few characteristics that make them useful in different situations: the droids can open doors, Artoo can fly short distances, Ben and Luke can use the Force and Lightsabers, etc.
