The Jargar Young Talent Cello C String offers the same performance as a full-sized string without sacrificing sound or playability. Using the same manufacturing processes as Jargars Classic strings this steel core string provides a powerful tone with strong high-frequencies. Its chrome steel winding adds a warmth that balances out the brightness of the steel. Its very responsive under the bow across the whole range of the instrument allowing you to refine and perfect your technique.Jargar began in 1956 after years of experimentation by Danish cellist Jarl Hansen. Hansen wanted more from his cello than the gut strings he was using could provide. Hansen developed a string with a core of steel and wound with pure or alloyed metal. Like many other string makers Hansen realised that steel cores offered far greater stability and durability than gut strings and a stronger tone. Hansens strings grew to be extremely popular amongst classical musicians and the company expanded to making strings for violin viola and double bass as well as the cello.
