This 2021 Iphöfer Julius Echter Berg Riesling Grand Cru dry is a premium wine with a distinctive mineral character, reflecting its terroir, and an aroma of ripe peach. The fine hints of citrus notes provide a pleasant tension on the palate, while the crisp, but subtle acidity gives the wine its delicate structured body. The wine's lingering finish allows for a longer enjoyment. To create such a premium wine, a great deal of work was necessary in both the wine cellar and the vineyard. The winemakers divided each grape in the early stage of ripeness to ensure perfect conditions for the future vegetation process and to reduce the number of grapes on the vine, enabling the growth and efficiency of the vine to concentrate on the few grapes left. This wine is characterized by mineral notes coming from the soil, wild herb notes, ripe peach, honey, melon, grapefruit, and white pepper with a hint of exotic flavors.
