A mixture of pink blue and white, Ipheion Unifolium are also known as starflowers. It is hardy and flowers each spring. From the grass-like foliage emerge slender stems carrying softly fragrant star-shaped flowers. The leaves, when crushed, have a slight scent of onion. Ipheion is perfect for the rockery or garden border, where it will naturalise and develop into bold groups. They bring much-needed colour to the spring garden and mix well with spring-flowering bulbs, like tulips and narcissus.
