Metal flammable storage COSHH cabinets designed for the safe storage of flammable liquids The careful storage of hazardous chemicals such as flammable liquids is an important part of health and safety requirements. Keeping such chemicals in a locked and sturdy cabinet or cupboard will reduce the likelihood of accidents. As a result employees are protected as well as members of the public and the environment. These Flammable Liquid Storage Cabinets are specially designed to store flammable liquids safely. They come with suitable warning labels and additional flammable liquid warning labels that are available for purchase separately. These premium COSHH cabinets are available in a variety of bright powder-coated finishes and sizes. The correct storage of hazardous liquids is essential specific chemicals should be stored in the correctly labelled and coloured cabinets (substances such as acids should not be stored with sulfides and oxidisers should not be stored with flammable materials) this helps both users and the emergency services identify what type of chemicals are stored within the cabinet. The recognized colours for different applications is as follows. Yellow cabinets are for storage of flammable substances Red cabinets are vented and are for storage of pesticides Blue and Dove Grey cabinets are for storage of general hazardous substances for example caustic cleaning compounds (different types of chemical should not be stored together) White cabinets are for storage of acids they are coated with acid resistant paint Silver cabinets are for storage of alkalis and other base chemicals FC13 is the smallest flammable storage cabinet in the range and measures 460mm in height 460mm wide and 305mm deep. The smaller cabinets in the range have a single door and one shelf while the larger cabinets have two doors and may have two or three shelves. The sump depth for the smaller cupboards is 50mm whilst for the larger cabinets it is 150mm.
