Flint Vineyard Bacchus 'Fumé' 2024 is a white wine made from ripe, fleshy pear and English apple. The nose has hints of violets and Turkish delight, while the palate is soft and textured but also fresh and crisp. A generous length of pink grapefruit, almonds and biscuit pastry rounds off this complex wine. The use of barrels encourages aromatic development and softness, rather than oak flavour. Owner and winemaker, Ben Witchell, has a lifelong passion for wine, having gained a first-class degree in Oenology and Viticulture at Plumpton College and spent three years in Beaujolais as an assistant winemaker.
