The two-ply design makes the Hydraulic Black Drum Head a highly durable product as well as providing the fat and deep sound that characterises the Hydraulics series. This drumhead has a thin film of oil between the plies to suppress overtones and improve sound quality. The Evans Hydraulic Black Drum Head provides a classic punchy sound with a short sustain.
