Domaine Mélanie Pfister 'Berg' Riesling 2023 is an electric and exciting Riesling with a lemony aroma and palate. It's a tight, fine and focused wine that reflects the typicity of the terroir and its 40-year-old vines. This perfect food wine pairs well with shellfish or sushi. The 'Berg' cuvée comes from two hillside vineyards, Auf dem Berg and Silberberg, where the soil is a mix of clay and limestone. The Pfister domaine is situated in the village of Dahlenheim at the northern tip of Alsace, just west of Strasbourg. This corner of Alsace has a cooler climate than further south in the Haut Rhin and the limestone-dominated vineyards are perfectly situated to produce fresh, energetic wines. Mélanie is the eighth generation of her family to run the estate and took over from her father in 2006 after completing internships at various renowned wineries.
