A 75cl white wine from France, with aromatic fruit and a hint of sandalwood smoke on the nose. The palate has lovely weight with ripe, fleshy cooked lemons, a touch of stone fruit and a good mineral backbone. The vineyards are in the Hautes Côtes, at the top of the slopes just above Domaine de la Motte's Chablis classified plots. The soil is Portlandian, which is less chalky than Kimmeridgian, and typically produces wines which are less mineral and more fruity. This wine is cool-fermented in stainless steel, with malolactic fermentation also in stainless steel and no oak aging.
