This 6-hectare domaine is perfectly situated in the heart of Cornas and has since 1997 made three wines from vineyards cared for with minimal intervention. Grapes for Granit 30 and Granit 60 are grown on east-facing granite slopes and are named after the slope’s degree of incline. These are wines of increasing power but retaining finesse and balance. Granit 60 comes from up to 90-year-old Syrah vines planted on Cornas vineyard slope with a 60 degrees gradient. In the winery, 50% of the fruit is destemmed, and the wine is aged for up to 14 months in old oak barrels. This is a deep, full-bodied and concentrated, Cornas expression with savoury and spice complexity and silky tannins. It is a bold and structured wine, made from 100% Syrah grapes, with a dry finish and an ABV of 14%. The wine is suitable for drinking between 2024 and 2032 and pairs well with lamb.
