Dom. Roger Sabon's CDP Reserve is a powerful Grenache-led blend from Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Founded in 1952 by Roger Sabon, the family estate has a total vineyard area of 50 hectares, with 18 hectares in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The wine is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 10% Cinsault, all from 65-year-old vines. Fermentation takes place in small cement vats and small stainless steel tanks, followed by up to a month long maceration. The wine is then aged for around 18-24 months in large French oak foudres. This wine is suitable for both men and women.
