Brown Rock Salt, sometimes referred to as Grit Salt or Halite, is a large crystal salt product used to grit pathways and roads and prevent ice and snow. Brown Rock Salt is more commonly used as it is easier to see when applied to snow and the texture allows it to be spread easier than some other alternatives. Delivered in a bulk bag on a pallet onto a solid surface only, approximately 850kg / 0.60m3 of Brown Rock Salt is supplied.
