Golden orange with maroon markings on the outer petals, named after the Monarch butterfly. Crocus Orange Monarch is the first orange-yellow species crocus, at 10cm with a warm, distinctive colouring. Bee friendly and a reliable naturaliser. Flowers February to early March.
