Towards the southern end of Chassagne-Montrachet, Morgeot is a significant Premier Cru, producing gorgeously rich wine, with abundant pear, peach and lemony citrus fruit, surrounded by creamy richness. Domaine Paul Pillot has long been regarded as a top Chassagne producer, making classically-styled wines with concentration and steely grip, which have fantastic ageing potential. The domaine boasts an enviable portfolio of Premier Cru holdings, and is currently run with great skill by 4th generation, Thierry Pillot.
