A unique blend which really works, revealing nuances not apparent in the single-variety wines. It's forward, easy-going and highly drinkable, with a delicious roasted tomato / red pepper note. The texture is mellow and harmonious, and it is less ‘in your face’ than the Carmenere Gran Reserva, with good palate length. A portion of the Carmenere fruit used for this wine undergoes 'appassimento' - semi-drying prior to fermentation.
