This Becker 2018 St. Paul Spätburgunder Grand Cru dry is a fine, medium-strength ruby red wine. It has aromas of juniper and other wild berries, as well as tobacco, pepper, and forest floor. The wine is dense on the palate, with a strong substance and youthful tannins. It is juicy with a very good length, and has excellent structure and great storage potential. This unisex wine is perfect for any occasion, and can be enjoyed at a temperature of 15-17°C. It has an alcohol content of 13.5% vol., a residual sugar of 0.2 g/l, and an acidity of 6.7 g/l. The wine is made from carefully selected and de-stemmed grapes, which are fermented on the mash in open oak vats. After fermentation, the wine is gently pressed and further matured for 18 months in small French oak barrels. It is then bottled without filtration.
