Bassermann-Jordan 2021 Deidesheimer Leinhöhle Riesling Premier Cru dry is a 75cl wine from Winebuyers. The Leinhöhle vineyard is situated on the western brim of Deidesheim, next to Kieselberg and Paradiesgarten, and is south facing with a forest nearby, allowing it to receive a lot of sun. The soil is a mix of eroded sandstone, small sandstone gravel, and loam. Harvesting took place in mid-October with selective picking. The grapes were softly pressed and the must settled for 24 hours before fermentation in traditional oak with natural yeast. The wine has a citrus and peach aroma with hints of flint-stone. On the palate, it is juicy with fresh acidity. This wine pairs well with white meat, such as veal, and shellfish, and is suitable for a regional kitchen. It has an alcohol content of 12.50% vol, residual sugar of 4.4 g/l, and acidity of 8.2 g/l. It is a unisex wine, suitable for both men and women.
