This Riesling Auslese has fruit aromas of apricot, pear, quince, lemon, and orange on the nose. On the palate, it is fresh and elegant, with a distinct minerality and acidity. Situated on the western brim of Deidesheim in the Palatinate region of Germany, the Hohenmorgen vineyard is one of the oldest examples of quality Palatine's wine making. The south-facing Hohenmorgen sloped vineyard is 2.76 hectares, with 2.09 hectares belonging to the Bassermann-Jordan wine estate. It is the smallest and most exclusive vineyard of Deidesheim with the highest rated quality of soil. This Riesling Auslese is the ideal aperitif and pairs perfectly with desserts, as well as foie gras.
