Azamor, a red wine from the Alentejo region in Portugal, is a 75cl bottle produced by Winebuyers. The estate, acquired by Alison and Joaquim Luiz-Gomes in 1998, is located in south Portugal. Alentejo's climate and soil, with long sunshine hours and clay soils with bedrock of schist, enable the red grapes to ripen fully and develop necessary compound phenolics. The wine is a blend of local varieties like Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira, and Alicante Bouschet, as well as international ones such as Petit Verdot, Syrah, and Merlot. The grapes were fermented in separate stainless steel tanks for up to 10 days at temperatures.
