This Artesa Rioja Tempranillo 2023 is a red wine from Spain. It has appealing black fruit aromas and hints of spice, leading to juicy plum and bramble fruit characters on the palate. Fresh acidity balances ripe tannins on the finish. Made from Tempranillo grapes cultivated on the hillside vineyards of Rioja Baja, which are around 600 metres above sea level and have clay stone soil. The grapes are crushed and chilled for several hours before fermentation is started, with temperature-controlled fermentation lasting for 15 days and twice daily pumping over.
