When producing hard drives, the capacity is calculated based on 1G=1000M=1000 1000 1000BYTE. However, the computer is binary and is calculated based on 1G=1024M=1024 1024 1024 BYTE. In the system, the actual capacity is the labeled capacity of the hard disk/1.024/1.024/1.024, for example: 500G actually displays around 465G.
